Limited to 1911 numbered pieces, Tag Heuer Watches introduced the Monza Calibre 36 Re-Version automated chronograph at Basel 2011. The explanation for the title is that in 1911 the brand launched the Time of Journey 12 hour Dashboard Chronograph that was particularly designed for airplanes and cars. This made it simpler to measure time within the air or while driving and was highly regarded amongst aviators and automotive enthusiasts. The re-edition is powered by Caliber 36 automatic motion and subsequent to the Mikrograph is the quickest watch movement around. It features a regular pair of chrono pushers positioned at 2 and 4 o'clock. The crown is smaller than the original and is finished is a elegant vintage look. The case and bezel are constituted of chrome steel and have a combination of advantageous-brushed and polished finishes. The shape of the case is a cushion design and is 38mm in diameter giving it a smaller profile than most chronographs on the market. Formula One racing comes into the story of the original design of the watch when in 1975 Niki Lauda gained the world championship for Ferrari. Heuer was official timekeeper and to honor this win, Jack Heuer reworked an existing 1930's model into a special limited version collection he called the Monza. This re-edition is a part of the classic-impressed Traditional Heuer Collection; the Monza stays a favorite amongst collectors.
